The Secret Garden is a private elopement and small wedding venue in Redcliffs, Christchurch, just 20 minutes from the city. Designed as a romantic alternative to larger traditional venues, it’s perfect for couples desiring an intimate wedding with up to 16 guests. One that feels beautiful and celebratory — without the overwhelm of planning.
Walking through the gates, you’ll feel as though you’ve entered another world — secluded, sheltered and surrounded by lush greenery, birdsong and the scent of jasmine.
Ceremonies are held in the private rear garden, or indoors overlooking sweeping water views — a beautifully considered alternative that also serves as the wet-weather option. Every detail of the property has been designed to create a sense of relaxed elegance, intimacy, and offers a truly special atmosphere for your wedding.
After your ceremony, the space naturally lends itself to a relaxed celebration — from pouring a champagne tower, cutting a cake, to delicious catering options including BYO beverages. With Lisa hosting, you are taken care of, so you can be fully present to enjoy your wedding experience with your guests.

The Service Fee allows for pre-delivery of your beverages to The Secret Garden, keeping them chilled, glassware, setup, service and cleanup. A beverage dispenser is include, for you to provide a non alcoholic options, as it's a legal requirement.
