The Secret Garden is a private residence in Redcliffs, Christchurch, transformed for intimate elopements and small weddings, to host up to 16 guests. As you walk through the gate, you step into a secluded, peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery and birdsong.
Ceremonies take place in the private rear garden, and a refined indoor wet-weather option with sweeping water views feels just as special. Each space offers intimacy and relaxed elegance, and you can choose to extend your experience with a leisurely catered lunch.
A bridal suite with private ensuite offers options for early check-in as a getting ready space, and for romantic wedding night accommodation.

To ensure a seamless experience, we organise and prepare all catering and beverages for your day, and serve your guests so you can celebrate. A service fee is added on confirmation of your selections.

Bridal Suite
The Secret Garden also offers a beautiful bridal suite with a private ensuite, and water views. When you book your Wedding here, you have the option to add the suite for:
- Earlier arrival on your Wedding day, as a getting ready location & getting dressed.
- Wedding night accommodation with the venue/property to yourselves.
- A romantic setting with masses of candles, a bottle of bubbly and a platter to share.
- A cooked breakfast served the following morning, at a beautifully styled table.
