The Event Boutique is headed by Lisa Ferguson, who spent years travelling the world, living and working throughout Australia, London and New York City. Gaining extensive experience and insight in her travels, Lisa studied Event Design in NYC, under the worlds most recognised event designer, Preston Bailey. 

 

Returning to New Zealand, Lisa recognised a need to offer a bespoke approach to creating events and started The Event Boutique. Based in Christchurch, Lisa works throughout the South Island, including Queenstown, and being a lover of travel, is open to travelling to create events in any location.

Lisa is thrilled to utilise her creative vision and design events for clients who love her sense of style. With a desire to do things differently and continually looking for inspiration and products worldwide, Lisa offers fresh ideas, and lives, dreams and breathes the details of every event.

She'll be the first to tell you although the end results are magic, creating the event involves long days - early starts picking and creating florals, loading and unloading furniture into trucks, climbing up and down ladders, and days ending exhausted with broken fingernails, stiff, sore and covered in bruises. It's far from glamorous! Yet being able to weave magic for clients to celebrate in style....and seeing them thrilled with the results, is the best satisfaction Lisa could ask for, and makes all the hard work, worth it! Framed signs above her desk, read "We work because we love this shit" and "Life's too short to have boring parties"

I'm all about the details. I'll often spend hours researching ideas for your event..I've been known to sit in bed till the early hours, searching on my laptop far and wide to find the perfect colour or product, and I'll custom make a unique feature to add the wow factor.

 

On event day, with my meticulous eye for detail, I always make sure everything is perfectly aligned. From chairs to cutlery and everything at your venue! If there's something unsightly at your venue, you can rest assured I'll make sure it's moved out of sight! It's exactly this attention to detail that allows me to continually deliver amazing events!
