Lisa is the name behind The Event Boutique. She has always had a love for beauty and colour, with a background as a contemporary artist and graphic designer. Spending years travelling the world, living and working in Australia, London and New York City, Lisa gained extensive experience and studied Event Design in NYC, under one of the worlds most recognised event designers, Preston Bailey.
Returning to her home city of Christchurch, Lisa wanted to provide a full service company to make the entire event planning process easier for people. For those drawn to her style, who trusted her vision and expertise, she can be the one person they communicate with about their event, and provide the help they need - whether a little or the whole lot. With a love for the design details she believes every element and all the colours must work perfectly together. And with her desire to create something special and different for everyone, she'll search far and wide finding just the perfect elements for your event. And feedback continually shows that Lisa exceeds peoples expectations.
Constantly searching worldwide for new products to add to their hire collection, fresh and unique ideas, new suppliers, Lisa loves designing and having products custom made. Her choices are always about offering an elegant timeless style, often with a modern edge to offer a unique hire collection, and create events that have a different look, to what others offer.
Growing up Lisa had a love of flowers and wanted to be a florist, but with terrible hay fever she never considered it could be a reality. But working alongside event florists inspired her, so she studied floristry. With a love for garden grown and heritage varieties, Lisa has sourced small local growers, and personally picks unique varieties to create arrangements in a tumbling organic style incorporating garden picked florals. She still gets hay fever but her love outweighs this!
When she does take a break, she'll be walking Hugo, her adorable Spoodle (who you may meet at the showroom), or connecting with friends over coffee, soaking up the atmosphere of cosy wine bars, or drinking champagne talking about life, love and business!

In my personal and working life, I'm all about the details and ensuring everything is carefully considered and in it's right place! So for events, I'll often spend hours researching ideas, staying up all hours searching for the perfect colour or product, or working out how to produce a unique feature that'll add the wow factor.
On event day, with my meticulous eye for detail, I always make sure everything is perfectly aligned. From chairs to cutlery and everything at your venue! If there's something unsightly at your venue, you can rest assured I'll make sure it's moved out of sight! And it's exactly this attention to detail that allows me to continually deliver amazing events!
