What was most important to you?

We wanted our wedding to feel like a royal affair and be a little bit different to weddings we normally see. We wanted an elegant affair and wanted the day to be so much fun and full of dancing with all our friends and family.

How did you find the planning process?

It was stressful at times as you had to consider each other’s dreams and turn them into one dream. At the same it was rewarding and very exciting as you worked towards a goal with your significant other. We miss the process and the planning, and would do it again in a heartbeat. We shopped around for someone to work with for a very long time and we really struggled to find someone who could work with us and work with our budget, while helping us put the dream into reality. We finally met Lisa, and she was fantastic. She was so professional and efficient, and within a few days of starting to work with Lisa she had visual boards of the ideas we wanted and her recommendations of what might work well with the vision we had. This gave us so much comfort in our choice to work with Lisa, as she took our dreams and put them into reality.

How did you feel about the day?

It was absolute Perfection!! We planned for a Summer wedding and the vision was for the ceremony & canape hour to be outside in the garden. Our Wedding favours were custom made Umbrellas with our wedding logo for all our guests to use on the day and take home with them. Although this was a summer wedding, Christchurch weather had different ideas, and the day was overcast and forecasted to rain the whole day. Everyone had said we have to bring the ceremony inside because its going to rain but we just couldn’t do it, so we kept the ceremony outside. Miraculously the rain didn’t come until ceremony was well and truly over and we were half way through our photos. So our Wedding Favours that were meant for a summers day ended up being super useful when the rain started pouring down later in the day. The day was everything we envisioned, there was so much laughter and dancing from the beginning right to the end. The look was everything we imagined with so much elegance and class. Our guests were dressed impeccably which just made the day feel like a royal event which was exactly what we wanted.
