Each of these properties are very unique and ideal for weddings, special occasions, milestone birthday celebrations to corporate retreats, meetings and photoshoots. If you are wanting a very special property, with the option of staying, we can organise everything needed and give you a truly memorable occasion.

BRIDLE PATH RETREAT

Discreetly tucked away in the Heathcote Valley, Christchurch is an architectural master piece that showcases design, detail and luxury. The award winning private home known as “Bridle Path Retreat” is a spectacular property that wows everyone who walks in the door. With the expanse of open plan living, large indoor and outdoor spaces and completely hidden from the road, the property boasts stunning mountain views, and is a incredible venue to host small weddings and events of up to 80 people. Offering 4 bedrooms sleeping up to 8 guests, a sunken lounge, whisky room, heated salt water pool, spa, outdoor lounge with roaring fire you can stay and play and enjoy the property with family, friends or colleagues.

The property is within a residential setting, and isn’t suitable for large numbers or loud parties. Events and music must be finished by 11pm. All events must be approved by The Event Boutique who will assist with organising all your event details.

WEEKEND BOOKINGS

Weekend bookings for weddings and events require a 2 night minimum stay. Suited to 80 maximum for a canape style function or maximum of 62 for seated dining, setup on the lower lawn or within the expansive lounge overlooking the pool. Rates for two nights starts from $6300, plus the cost of all furniture, decor and styling by The Event Boutique. Catering needs to be through one of our preferred caterers or we would need to approve a caterer of your choice. BYO beverage option with bar service by TEB staff.

WEEKDAY BOOKINGS

The property is available for one day hire only, excluding accommodation, for weddings, birthdays, corporate events and photo-shoots. Priced from $2800, plus the cost of furniture, decor and styling by The Event Boutique.

CASTELLO 'The Sefton Castle'

A truly unique Italian style masterpiece, that was featured on TV show Grand Designs following it's epic restoration, this majestic property is nestled on 4.3 hectares of gently rolling countryside. Located 40minutes from Christchurch city and a short drive from Rangiora, this estate boasts 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, sleeping up to 14 guests and is spread over 5 levels. It's the ultimate luxurious estate to host a wedding or special celebration.

 

Architecturally designed with a central courtyard perfect for seated dining of up to 60 guests, or a limited number of marquee weddings up to 100 guests. This property has stunning features with photo opportunities around every corner; from the dramatic four-storey spiral staircase to the elegant chandeliers and a rooftop with spectacular views. Beautifully furnished this property is an oasis to relax and multiple living areas and lounges provide ample space for all staying guests to relax. Outside entertainment areas include an outdoor kitchen, gas fire, and pizza oven.

The property includes a landscaped ceremony area and a heli-pad for those that want to arrive in style!

BANGOR COUNTRY ESTATE

The magnificent Bangor Country Estate is a property that on entering the sweeping tree lined drive transports you to a bygone era when style and elegance prevailed. Established in the 1850’s this colonial style private homestead with double height veranda’s, huge living spaces and 2 beautiful accommodation suites is nestled amongst giant English oak, ash and elm trees with park-like grounds.

 

Located in Darfield, and only 40minutes from Christchurch this beautiful property can be booked exclusively through The Event Boutique to host marquee weddings and events on the expansive lawns, with accommodation for up to 4 guests in two self-contained suites.

The lower level of the homestead features many stunning photo opportunities, including a grand staircase, and staying guests have access to use the country style kitchen with roaring open fire, a library/cocktail room and a relaxed elegant lounge all evoking a sense of grandeur. The extensive grounds are breath-taking, and offers various settings for wedding ceremonies, marquee locations and photos.
